This Rival slow cooker shepherd’s pie is the ultimate comfort food—hearty, simple, and slow-cooked to perfection. Great for weeknights or Sunday supper.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef or lamb

1 cup frozen peas and carrots

1/2 onion, chopped

1 cup beef gravy or thickened broth

2 cups mashed potatoes

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tsp dried thyme (optional)

Instructions

1. Brown ground meat in a skillet with onion; season with salt, pepper, and thyme.

2. Transfer to Rival slow cooker and stir in peas, carrots, and gravy.

3. Cover and cook on LOW for 4–6 hours.

4. Spread mashed potatoes on top and cover again for 30 minutes.

5. Serve warm directly from the slow cooker.

Notes

You can use leftover mashed potatoes for a faster prep.

Add shredded cheese on top for a golden finish if desired.
