- 1. Pat steak dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- 2. Heat oil in a skillet and sear steak 2–3 minutes per side until browned.
- 3. Add onions and garlic to bottom of slow cooker.
- 4. Place steak on top, then pour broth, Worcestershire, and vinegar over.
- 5. Sprinkle with thyme and cover with lid.
- 6. Cook on LOW for 8 hours or HIGH for 4–5 hours.
- 7. Check tenderness with a fork. Serve over mashed potatoes or rice.

You can substitute balsamic vinegar with red wine for a deeper flavor.
