Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef or lamb
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
  • ½ onion chopped
  • 1 cup beef gravy or thickened broth
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp dried thyme optional

Method
 

  1. 1. Brown ground meat in a skillet with onion; season with salt, pepper, and thyme.
  2. 2. Transfer to Rival slow cooker and stir in peas, carrots, and gravy.
  3. 3. Cover and cook on LOW for 4–6 hours.
  4. 4. Spread mashed potatoes on top and cover again for 30 minutes.
  5. 5. Serve warm directly from the slow cooker.
